The Commercial Lead Rare Diseases (CL RD) will be central to supporting the pre-launch planning, execution, and operational rollout of the rare disease assets at an affiliate level. Using their knowledge of Rare Disease therapy areas and the account ecosystem complexity, to drive change in the patient journeys e.g. diagnostic procedures, therapeutic decisions, speed to appropriate treatment etc. The CL RD represents the RDBU leadership team in-country, ensuring localization of strategic execution, delivering patient uptake and sales, leading annual tactical plan, results monitoring and to ensure alignment with Affiliate GM core teams and key functions. Will be the commercial point of contact for all customers across the whole country utilizing an omnichannel approach to manage these key stakeholders.

Main accountabilities:
• Deliver sales budget with focus on top Tier key accounts / centers of expertise (CoEs), tracking and managing performance according to business plan objectives and KPIs.
• Develop, lead and execute a strategic launch plan with specific goals and targets for the affiliate.
• Lead the creation of the local digital strategy to drive the adoption of an omnichannel approach to enhance the customer journey & maximize the touchpoints across the GRD BU.
• Development / localization of local digital and marketing assets – working collaboratively with local marketing / omnichannel, medical and marketing agencies.
• Close collaboration with market access functions to ensure patients can access therapy at the local level.
• Encourage an Insight driven culture where customer insights, data, dashboards, and CRM tools are used to guide effective business decisions. Allowing strategic development and tactical implementation to remain relevant, meaningful, and commercially advantageous.
• Create a high-performance cross functional team environment based on alignment with a common values and vision based on a foundation of trust and respect.
• Consistently conduct business analyses, develop, and maintain a current business plan, and contribute to the development of affiliate Rare Disease Local Launch Readiness (LLR) plans.
• Develop and roll out key customer engagement philosophy and be the local orchestrator / owner of high priority key account plans.
• Will be the only commercial interface for all customers across the whole country utilizing an omnichannel approach to manage these key stakeholders.
• Maintain exceptional knowledge of the customer, related markets and disease states competitive products and the broader healthcare marketplace. Be the content expert for the Rare Disease Busines Unit
• Ensure the customer experience is exemplary, where customers seek Client out as the partner of choice for creating access to Client’s medicines in those patients who would benefit.
• Take responsibility for the P&L of the assigned country.
• Input to co-creation of country planning, initiatives & tools
• Sharing of experiences and learnings with other markets
• Close collaboration with country Medical Lead Rare Diseases

Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
• Strong scientific/medical knowledge at Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Has worked in a role with a substantial Medical and/or Market Access component
• Ability to engage, connect and build partnerships with customer remotely.
• Business/Commercial orientation/acumen
• Strong customer focus: demonstrated ability of creating win-win partnerships
• Project Management where tangible success has been achieved
• Enjoys the blend of homeworking & being in the heart of a Clinical setting
• Mastery in influence mapping and using customer influence to gain credibility for projects
• Proven competency in securing funding and healthcare process understanding locally for hospital and retail administered products
• Passionate about rare disease, strong drive and desire for success, result-orientated with proactive cross-functional collaborative approach
• Strong analytical as well as organizational ability, professional presence, self-confidence, self-driven, and a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills in local/cluster language(s) and English

Preferred Requirements:
• Currently in rare disease role or specialty experience and established local networks in high unmet need, auto immune, rheumatology or renal disease areas.
• Product launch experience in rare disease / specialty medicine
• Worked in a role where they have assessed and made trade-offs between accounts
• Experience with optimising products and services to benefit the appropriate patients
• A role where solid understanding of local healthcare market has driven success
• Demonstrated innovative service ideas to improve patient outcomes
• Entrepreneurial mindset Leadership
